A guide to Lifeboat's Rules

Lifeboat Network Rules

If you play on our network, whether it be with friends or family, please remember to follow our official guidelines / rules. If you fail to follow these rules action may be taken against your account. We aim to keep the Lifeboat Network a family friendly server network, meaning anyone can play and have fun, no matter what age. To make things easier, all rules have been coloured in red.

  • No Spamming - This means we encourage you not to flood the main chat with large amounts of the same text repeatedly, or spam with random numbers and symbols that don’t make up a sentence.
Note: If you do this, you risk your account getting muted.

  • No Advertising - When we say advertising, we mean other Minecraft servers or networks. You are free to mention your YouTube channel if you are recording on our network. You can also mention other servers, but don’t include the servers IP or port.
Note: If you do this, you risk your account getting muted.

  • No swearing or inappropriate language - This one is really common sense. Try to keep your language appropriate for young audiences / players. This also restricts abbreviations that might seem inappropriate such as “lmfao” and “wtf”. We also recommend that you do not attempt to bypass this rule by using suggestive words / sentences, or slang.
Note: If you do this, you risk your account getting muted.

  • No Hacking - This rule is pretty simple, and easy to follow. We want players to have fun on our network, and hacking takes all the fun away from players. Anyone caught using clients to give themselves an advantage in any of our gamemodes risks their account being permanently locked.
Note: A ban / account lock can be appealed for at lbsg.net/locks-and-bans

  • No Inappropriate Usernames - This means any Xbox usernames containing inappropriate language, offensive language, racism, suggestive words, etc. If you join our server using a username with any of the above stated, your account will be locked and reported to the Xbox Live team in certain circumstances.
Note: You cannot appeal for this kind of punishment, but you can make a new account in order to regain access to our server.

  • Sexually explicit / suggestive language - For a family friendly network, this is extremely important to us. Anyone who uses this kind of language will be immediately banned from our network. If we see it as sexually suggestive, then a warning may be given before a ban is taken into effect.
Note: A ban / account lock can be appealed for at lbsg.net/locks-and-bans

  • Strictly No DDOS Threats - Whether you might be joking with a friend or not, we take security very seriously, and if you are caught threatening a player or just joking around with a friend about it, action will be taken regardless.
Note: You cannot appeal for this kind of punishment if action is taken on your account.
(Ddos is short for distributed denial of service.)

  • Finally, Have Fun - This is one of the most important rules within the network. Have fun, be welcoming and be positive. If a player is new to the server, then show them around, who knows, you might even make a new friend!
Note: If you have applied for a volunteer position, helping players greatly shows your contribution towards the server, and increases your chances in becoming an official volunteer!

Moderators are online through out the server, and can be identified by the [Mod], and [Mod] tags. If you come across a player with this tag and find a hacker, mention it to them and they will take care of the rest!

All rules stated above are in place across the entire network, including all minigames, worlds, and any other content relating to the Lifeboat Network / Hydreon Corporation. Example: Lifeboat City, Survival Mode, Prisons, Creative Mode, Minigames, Lifeboat Forums, Lifeboat Discord server, etc.

Notice: Depending on the severity of your actions, previous history, or form of report, you could be locked for any of the above, not just the offences that specifically mention having your account locked.

If you are looking for our terms, privacy policy, or refund policy, These can be found at https://lbsg.net/terms-and-conditions. These rules are subject to change at any time based on any changes made between the Lifeboat Network / Hydreon Corporation team.

Happy Lifeboating! :sailboat:

Nice guide! We’re actually contemplating making a community how-to/tips and tricks section, what would you guys think of it?

Great suggestion! I’ll add it in the thread.

Maybe make a poll and pin it for a few hours? I feel then maybe it will get some more responses, as posting it in someone else’s thread is gonna get less attention.

By getting locked, you automatically get to lose the chance to volunteer as a Forum-Helper or above.
Also, I got accepted as Volunteer Artist, guys. Wish me luck!

This would be incorrect. A user can always appeal for an account lock, and in rare cases they can still be considered as a volunteer for the network if signs show that they have changed, or matured since their punishment / account violation.

Should evading bans/locks be alright? @Hazard_DutchAD

Yes. If a player has been banned on their previous account, they can create a second account as long as they do not break the rules.
